Cherry Banana Whickers
I had never heard the term myself until one of our staff here at Front Porch Pets used it when she described feeding some of our “leftovers” from making our dog treats to her horse, Buddy. Turns out “Whicker” means the neighing or whinnying a horse makes when happy or waiting for a treat! We always have samples of everything we are working on in the cafeteria or by the employee entrance so our staff can take home for their pets, including horses. We get lots of real-life feedback and suggestions.After numerous comments that their horses were going “Whickers” over sweet potato and apples—the base we use for all of our dog treats (and now Whickers™ ), we decided it was time to develop and craft a treat especially for them!
