Chef David Whickers - Carrot & Fenugreek 8oz - Horse Treats

$8.99

Quick Overview

Carrot & Fenugreek

I had never heard the term myself until one of our staff here at Front Porch Pets used it when she described feeding some of our “leftovers” from making our dog treats to her horse, Buddy.

Turns out “Whicker” means the neighing or whinnying a horse makes when happy or waiting for a treat! We always have samples of everything we are working on in the cafeteria or by the employee entrance so our staff can take home for their pets, including horses.

We get lots of real-life feedback and suggestions. After numerous comments that their horses were going “Whickers” over sweet potato and apples—the base we use for all of our dog treats (and now Whickers™ ), we decided it was time to develop and craft a treat especially for them!

Our testing determined the top flavors the horses loved; Cherry Banana, Carrot & Fenugreek and Minty Green. Be sure to try all 3

PRODUCT INGREDIENTS

Whickers- Carrot & Fenugreek

Sweet Potato:
Referring to them as “nutritional superstars”, The Center for Science in the Public Interest deems sweet potato number one in their ranking of “10 Best Foods”.Unlike white potatoes, sweet potatoes are roots, not tubers.
Applesauce (Apples & Water):
makes a great natural sweetener. We make our applesauce here in our own kitchen in small batches from apples picked right down the road.
Apple Cider
(Unfiltered pure juice from Apples):
Our apples are picked right down the road and pressed in small batches to create a tasty, one-ingredient juice.
Carrots:
Though the most popular carrots are orange, the first documented carrots were purple and white and are still available today as well as red and yellow varieties.
Fenugreek:
is an herb with a delicate maple-like flavor. It is one of the common ingredients of Indian curry mixture. It is also used as a flavoring agent for industrially manufactured vanilla, maple syrup and rum.
